Laura and Nicola

Hi everyone!

It all started with a simple observation.

Laura noticed a recurring theme amongst friends and colleagues – feelings of loneliness, confusion, and a lack of support surrounding menopause. She realised there was a significant gap in awareness, especially within the workplace where ageism and sexism can further complicate the experience.

What particularly struck Laura was seeing high-flying women facing unexpected challenges at work during this transition.

It became clear that even a little bit of support could make a world of difference in allowing them to continue thriving professionally.

This realisation became the spark that ignited Meno Plan. Initially envisioned as a supportive community where women could connect, share experiences, and educate each other, Nicola came onboard, and it quickly evolved.

We realised that the change needed won’t happen with simply women supporting women (as wonderful as that is). We need to get everyone supporting those going through menopause.

We identified a critical gap in the market for clear, accessible training programs that could be readily implemented by workplaces.

Our mission became clear: to empower companies to become menopause-friendly workplaces. By providing straightforward and accessible training, we aim to bridge the knowledge gap and create an environment where experienced women, who bring so much value to the workplace, can continue to excel.
